This month Chapeltown community nursery has been transformed into a photography studio for our community both inside and out.
With the help of our local Housing Advisory Panel and Leeds residents, we have been able to update our activity room with new paintwork and updated furniture and resources for community use.
Leeds Inspired granted us funding to work with local photographer, Jonathan Turner, organising covid-safe child and family-led photography sessions. It has been wonderful to see our families together as covid restrictions lift and to fulfill the ambitions of our parents who wanted an alternative to traditional nursery photo-shoots.
This week the nursery building became a dark room, after a concerted effort from Jonathan alongside our staff team, trustees and other volunteers in a rush to fit blinds and organise our furniture!
