Yes, it's true - we are one of Leeds' oldest nurseries! Our parent led nursery turns 50 years old in 2023. From our early days as a playgroup to our initial nursery on Leopold Street to beginning life as a registered charity in our purpose built building in 1992 we have been around a while.
We have some exciting collaborations coming up this year as part of our celebrations but we would like to be as ambitious as possible. We also particularly interested in anyone who would like to share their memories and stories of our nursery since the 1970s and anyone who is in a position to assist us in fundraising, supporting our sustainability and aims as a charity including to support children's growth and development through play and strengthen community relationships in Chapeltown and the wider area.
